My verdict is: never invest your time, money and feelings in Match! It's phony and totally fraudulent site! I takes unbelievable amount of time to find someone real among all these fake accounts on Match. They create these fake accounts of pretty ladies to boost their popularity and to lure new users into purchasing membership. Once they have your cc details, they will keep charging you for the features you have never used. You will have to waste your time again when you decide to cancel it. Deleting your account is a pain! So just don't get involved with this nightmare site!
It is a typical dating site in design and function.
The kicker is their customer service, renewal function, and their cancellation fee.
Their customer service will kick you to an FAQ page, and even if you attempt to contact them, they will kick you back an automated message to point you to the same FAQ page. I am pretty sure this continues to loop.
It is an expensive mistake on my part, so unless you wish to watch a few hundred bucks burn, then avoid like the plague

Worst site I have ever used Fake profiles/Scammers and a billing process you can only cancel is by cancelling your credit card. Google rates this site as No1, I will never believe a google search ever again.
I paid 6 months membership and got reply from 10 scammers and about 15 fake people (younger that the age i set claiming to be older) obviously no checks and balances. Dont believe computer search engines for rating web sites look for reviews of people who have tried them.
I signed up. They took money out my account. Then they changed my password, couldn't get in. None
Ail received to change it no matter how many times I tried. Impossible to contact.
50% of the hundreds of guys contacting me were removed by match either being scammers or inappropriate behaviour!!!!
Consider this story and ask the question how safe are you? I was contacted by a scammer. I reported him. He was removed. Then....the next day same picture, same details he was back with a new account! I played dumb when he made contact again and he informed that a lady who he had a row with had deleted him....he never thought it was me! So I reported him again but match did not delete. So folks not only is he still out there but match knows......
Love this platform but every dating site has to do better in dealing with the spammers and scammers and not turn a blind eye to it... a man once told me he was an engineer and need $40,000 for an operation for his Mom, i contacted zetsus.com and they investigated the profile to find out that all his information were fake
I joined in arch 2018, so I also state I am not bang up to date ( as I am with another person)
However - when i DID join I kept seeing the same people I ignored, come back - and come back again.
I also noted that the ' Star Profile ' that I was interested in the most - magically never replied to any messages - I also did a little digging and spotted her profile on a couple of other dodgy dating websites
I have come to believe that most of the profiles are never deleted and just recycled through the site to make it look like there are more choices than there are.
I admit I never paid for the full membership - but realised something was awry.========
My Final Bit of Advice - NEVER give your exact real DOB for safety ( in case site gets hacked) and initially NO profile picture and little profile details - if you start to get loads of messages and ' flirts '
Or ' likes ' - that should be a HUGE RED FLAG!
This test should be done for a few days - after that you are clear to make your own mind up
( I used Tinder and had great success) - and never paid. I used great photos and a decent write-up.
This is a review for uk.match.com. A terrible experience, and this was my first with match.com (and will be the last).
I managed to login to a pre-registered account which I had opened a couple of months ago, but never used. Stupidly, once I logged in I upgraded my membership, with the vain hope of getting somewhere.
I updated my profile, added information and pictures, and got some views. I thought I would come back after a few hours. To my surprise, I was unable to log in numerous times, despite entering the correct password. Tried to reset the password, but got no reset email, despite numerous tries. So now I'm locked out of my original paid account, and have to contact my bank to see if it is possible to stop any rebilling.
To reproduce the login problem, I created a free account with another email address, and you guessed it, managed to get the "invalid credentials" message again with the correct login credentials.
Being a programmer, I was curious as how and why logins with correct credentials were being rejected. Checking the network request logs on my browser, during a login, to my horror, I discovered that the login password and username are sent to the server in plaintext, which means anyone with enough technical knowhow can intercept your login details.
There is no support of any kind. The help section says as much. They don't care.
Whoever operates this site should be investigated, and shut down. They clearly process payments, but can't be bothered to actually run it properly. It is a fraud.
Match.com is a major predator of the online dating business clients. They suck you in with their shiny advertisements and how they match so many clients a year but really I think that's BS because once you are a member then the fun begins.
So the two major factors with finding a match are 1) present people who are near to you in other words I indicate how many miles from my location I would like to meet people. 2) I fill out a very comprehensive profile about me and the type of person I would like to meet. OK ready? 95% of the people that show up in my search or at least an additional half an hour away than what I had requested. Also anybody in that list who might be near where I live had nothing in common with me. Our profiles just don't match! But match Thinks they do. So ultimately match.com is an incredible rip off and waste of time. Stay away at all costs!
If I could I would rate it 0 stars. I am using 2 other apps at present and used other in the past on/off. Match is worst ever you can find on the market. I already cancelled my subscription and i am deciding to pay whatever i have it left and delete the account. See why
1. You can not engage with people if you didn't pay.
2. On paid subscription you can not pick distance/ etnicity/ age other preference to filter people out
3. They make your profile visible to people of 25 or over 55 ( i am 38 for god sake!!) And people from Dublin blin, Spain or Italy. Its a joke.
4. Messenger is confusing, i am getting lost to who to respond. So i ending up not responding at all
5. You get few profiles a day to swipe even on paid subscription
6. Filtering tru profiles is worst. I ending up blocking everyone to have visibility with who i matched with!!! Its ridiculous
7. In suggested daily profiles you still get people who you blocked
8. The site feels old, not user friendly, more 1950 full of blank profiles you can not remove.
In a nutshell. Match.com is a worst site on subscription (paid) and useless on unpaid. So I decided to cancel myself from there as its a waste of my time as I will stick with the competition.
Do not touch this site with a barge pole full of scammers and people wasting time this site matched me with 7 people all of whom were scammers reported nothing done same profiles everytime
I was bombarded by 250 men in 3 days viewing, liking and or contacting me! This was overwhelmingly fake! The allocated dating coach was an automated response so it was not an actual person! My criteria and profile was quite specific. “Members” who contacted me were not even close! It was irritating and time consuming blocking fake, lying and time wasters! “Members” quite aggressive in their approach. “Members” that I was chatting with there were MASSIVE concerns/red flag warnings what I was being catfished! “Members” with the education they stated on their profile was not true as they had the worst written English and spelling! This was another warning sign! “Members” that matched, viewed and or liked you no sooner had you liked them their profile was removed! I had trouble signing in online on my PC and the same unhelpful automated response was continually emailed to me to resolve with no success. I am awaiting my refund as I cancelled within the 2 week cooling off period. Disappointing and I am soo relieved I am off this site now. A total waste of time.
complete scam. when you're not a paid customer you'll get likes, when you're a paid customer you'll soon realise that it's just full of fake profiles probably set up by themselves. phone you bank to block future payments because they won't cancel it for you.
Inactive site, very limited amount of active users. Only really usable if you pay.
Got an email with the catchy headline "you've received 3 messages from other singles". When i click the email, i find out that it was in fact just 3 profile visits.
LOL, how desperate is that??
